Account Executive

Reporting to the VP, Application Sales and Client Services, the Account Executive is responsible for customer accounts that reside in Western Canada (which includes British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba). From time to time, a new prospect looking to acquire Oracle JD Edwards software may be assigned to this individual. 

This role requires the individual to manage the customer relationship before the sale, during, and maintain the relationship for future sales after. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Account Management requires continued relationship management of the customer throughout the sales process and after. Opportunities may arise over the course of a project for other products and services and therefore, continual customer contact is a must.
  • Territory Management – build a territory plan and strategy that includes building relationships with key executives in your assigned customer base.
  • Must be able to meet quota targets, develop an account plan, and implement new sales initiatives driven by the Mid-Range -Service Express executive team.
  • This is a field sales role and not an inside sales role; the ability to meet customers is critical for the success of the individual.
  • Develop, build, and nurture your relationships with our key strategic product partner (Oracle, ReportsNow, ALL OUT Security, Arctools, and Everest).
  • Delivery of a monthly forecast, pipeline, updates of key opportunities and status to your direct manager (VP, Application Sales and Client Services).
  • Candidate must have the ability to do limited travel over the course of the year (including the USA) is must.
  • Attendance at customer user conference when required; InFocus, Collaborate, others if needed.
  • Update Sales Force CRM for all sales opportunities in your customer base. Including but not limited to ensuring that all contacts, phone numbers, and email addresses are up to date.
  • Continually enhancing your knowledge of all services, applications and consultant skills are a must.
  • Developing knowledge of the competitive landscape, knowing the strengths and weaknesses of your competitors is important to the success of this role.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the VP, Application Sales and Client Services or someone appointed by him.


Required Qualification-Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience:

  • Previous solution selling experience would be an asset; which entails software, consulting, 3rd party applications and possibly managed services.
  • Previous experience selling Enterprise application software, consulting services, managed services, and hosting.
  • Knowledge of Oracle applications and offerings would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of Cloud/Private Cloud sales strategy and offerings would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of products such as ReportsNow, ALL OUT Security, Arctools would be an asset.
