About the Account Executive Role

We’re seeking an Account Executive to join our award-winning team. A job description is below.

Role overview:

The team at WTD is split into five disciplines: Account Service, Technology, Strategy, Creative and Technical Project Management. This Account Executive role fits into the Account Service Team and is a core “doer+integrator” role that owns the end-to-end orchestration of delivery between strategy, creative, technology and technical project management to deliver project-level success working across 2-3 clients reporting into Account Supervisor and/or Account Director levels. Here’s a bit more around the specifics.

Key responsibilities:

  • Spearheading project-level intake and briefing on up to 2-3 client engagements.
  • Owning end to end orchestration of delivery – interfacing with strategy, creative, technology and technical project management as needed.
  • Identifying opportunities to optimize both your project-level activity and your accounts as a whole

Who would the AE be interfacing with externally?

Client Project Managers, Marketing Manager, Product Managers 

Tactical Deliverables you might produce:

  • CRM programs (ad hoc deploys, journeys/automation builds and updates, performance analysis and optimization, contact strategy and preference centre builds, etc across email, SMS, app push)
  • Web builds/updates (site/microsite)
    • Sample subtasks within the above would include:
    • Task briefs
    • Project timelines and work effort estimation as inputs to scopes of work
    • Basic campaign performance analysis
  • Core Account Management work:
    • Competitive POVs/Hotsheets
    • Financial management reports (Budget Control Reports, Reconciliations)
    • Admin (status reports, contact reports, etc)

Skills and Experience:

  • You’re curious and interested in the 1:1 space and want to learn.
  • Junior (but not entry) level in your career (e.g. 1-5 years in the industry)
  • Ideally you come from a CRM/1:1 background – but digital or integrated work works too
  • You’re a detail-oriented multi-tasker who thrives in environments of rapid pace, volume and detail.
  • You have a bias for action and can help a team move forward through the twists and turns that inevitably will come. 
  • You’re a strong communicator (written and oral) and relationship builder
  • Technology is your friend and you’re highly proficient in standard Account-Centric software (Microsoft365, Google Workspace, Google Marketing Platform, etc)

Qualifications that are a plus:

  • Experience in creative and PM collaboration software (e.g. Figma, Miro, Smartsheet, Wrike) or CRM in-platform experience (Salesforce ecosystem, Adobe, Braze, Bloomreach, Customer.IO, Campaign Monitor, Selligent, etc) a plus.
