turbopuffer needs someone who can close deals with engineers. Our customers are technical teams already building in a fast market. Your job is help our customers win.

we’re open to two types of people:

  • AE who actually understands what they’re selling

  • technical person ready to carry a quota

what you’ll do:

  • live in customer slack channels, helping to solve problems, drive deals forward

  • close inbound deals

  • manage POCs and work closely with solutions engineers

  • answer questions honestly, say no when it’s not a fit

  • navigate and improve internal systems

must have:

  • technical – you can read API docs without crying

  • systematic – you track your pipeline and follow through

  • human – you don’t lie to customers

  • urgent – you move fast because our customers do

  • independent – you get things done without being explicitly told

  • typist - you can write well and can explain complex ideas simply

  • scientist - be open to experimentation and learn from your failures

nice to have:

  • you’ve sold to developers before and know why they hate salespeople

  • experience with databases, search, or infra software

  • experience with GTM automation tools like Clay, n8n etc.

  • comfort with python/javascript, linux, or cloud platforms
