Role Overview

Account Executives support the account management team by overseeing small to medium-sized programs and/or contributing as part of a larger team on large-scale programs.

Successful Account Executives are skilled communicators, nimble producers, and flexible, creative problem solvers who can lead onsite execution teams when required. You are organized, passionate about client relations, and focused on producing high-quality work.

ResponsibilitiesClient Relationships
  • Execute with excellence on behalf of clients.

  • Support program execution, which may require in-field or office-based work depending on program needs.

  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs, relay information to the team, and execute accordingly.

  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of client products and services.

  • Identify and share relevant industry trends.

  • Collect and analyze consumer data before and after programs.

  • Act as an extension of the client throughout planning, execution, and wrap-up.

Team
  • Collaborate with your team to fulfill client needs.

  • Work closely with partners and suppliers to ensure they have the tools and information required.

  • Support the development of a team of executors when needed.

  • Train, lead, and manage Brand Ambassadors and/or Coordinators (program dependent).

  • Keep your manager updated regularly to ensure alignment and proper support.

Financial
  • Develop experience with Salt’s pricing model and client-specific budget tools.

  • Build small to medium-sized budgets.

  • Own components of large program budgets.

  • Reconcile budgets of all sizes and work closely with finance.

  • Manage purchases on behalf of the client and company, ensuring accurate and timely expense reconciliation.

  • Review small to medium budgets with clients and provide rationale with support from your manager.

  • Support business growth efforts to achieve objectives.

Business Operations
  • Identify challenges and propose process improvements.

  • Support internal teams and committees to contribute to culture and help test or implement new processes and policies.

  • Assist with ancillary projects that support the client or Salt.

Experience & Skills
  • 2–5 years of marketing industry experience with client-facing program execution.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong adaptability and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to manage program budgets.

  • Excellent active listening and time management.

  • Ability to build rapport internally and externally.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Understanding of consumer behaviour and industry trends.

  • Proficiency with O365, social, and digital media.

  • Passion for marketing and partnerships.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $68,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, level of responsibility, internal equity, and business needs. This range represents the expected base salary for this role and does not include other elements of SALT/The Kitchen’s total rewards program.
