ROLE

As an Account Director at Sid Lee, you’ll be the key liaison between our clients and internal teams, guiding projects with clarity and vision. Partnering closely with our creative and strategic experts, you’ll build deep, trusting relationships with senior client stakeholders, serving as a strategic advisor and influencing business and marketing decisions to help define their strategic direction.
Your role will be instrumental in overseeing projects, from start to finish, always looking for opportunities to grow and enhance the client relationship. You’ll nurture a culture of collaboration within your team, ensuring that every member contributes to an environment where bold ideas can take root and thrive.

Please note that this is a fixed-term employment agreement, from September 2026 to October 2027.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand, analyze, and immerse yourself in mandates confided in you by the clients, in line with their business objectives;
  • Efficiently communicate mandate requirements to the creative and strategy teams
  • Identify business opportunities in line with clients’ portfolios and create communication and marketing strategies to concretize them;
  • Champion high-quality creative work by ensuring solutions are strategically sound, creatively compelling, and aligned with client objectives;
  • Demonstrate a desire to innovate, change the course of things, challenge the status quo, and push the limits with the projects you lead;
  • Manage and optimize 360˚ multidisciplinary projects by identifying the right players at the right moment. Both internal and external partners;
  • Act as the financial steward for assigned accounts, proactively managing budgets, forecasts, profitability, resource allocation, and scope throughout the lifecycle of engagements;
  • Contribute to clients’ profitability;
  • Manage conflicts, provoke discussions, and make difficult decisions;
  • Manage, train, and guide the development of your team.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field;
  • 8+ years of agency experience;
  • Leadership skills. You are an experienced thought leader who can organize, motivate and improve the creative thinking and output of those around you.
  • Business savvy. You lead accounts with a clear understanding of both your clients’ business goals and the mechanics of agency operations.
  • Strategic thinker. You can think strategically and apply critical and analytical skills to help shape the creative work and elevate ideas.
  • Growth mindset. You can leverage relationships in identifying opportunities to grow the business portfolio.
  • Entrepreneurial and invested. You thrive in smaller environments that require wearing multiple hats and love building things from the ground up. You are an experienced leader that can not only see the big picture and know how to run a business but also love rolling up your sleeves and diving into the trenches with the team.
  • Relationship builder. You know how to develop and maintain relationships with the internal teams as well as senior level clients and agency partners.
  • Coach + Mentor. You are able to pass on your experience to others through generous and patient mentorship of more junior members of the team.
  • Cultural player. You are a positive, collaborative and a contagious spirit who is integral to creating the agency spirit.
  • Experience working with US-based clients (nice to have).

The base salary range for this role is $100,000-120,000 CAD annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
