The Account Director, Digital is responsible for developing & maintaining a strong relationship with our client, while ensuring excellence in our digital media planning strategy. The Account Director, Digital will oversee the entire strategic process for their client groups and collaborates with trafficking, performance media operations, planning, and buying teams to achieve client goals. This role is critical in enforcing and providing input into the overall media planning direction as well as overseeing the quality standards of the team’s planning strategy and execution. 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Leverage your digital expertise to navigate clients’ requirements and objectives to create breakthrough digital experiences across a variety of channels including web, search, social, and video, defying conventions, and creativity.

  • Provide ongoing mentorship to junior and intermediate digital team members

  • Develop and collaborate to build strong relationships with client and agency stakeholders across various disciplines, business areas and regions, developing a strong integrated product.

  • Provide thought leadership to client and agency stakeholders surrounding industry trends, media landscape changes, and general POVs on platforms and technology.

  • Manage the workload, workflow, engagement, and professional development of direct reports

  • Contribute to new business development activities and pitches

  • Define standards, guidelines, and processes that enable agile delivery through automation

  • Supports the media buying teams throughout the campaign activation process to maintain performance and resolve issues

  • Defines reporting standards for clients demonstrating the strategy and rationale executed to deliver on campaign goals

  • Instils a high-performance, data-driven, continuous improvement culture within a shared service organization

  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of digital media technologies and their applications in the media and advertising industry

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Media

  • 5+ years of experience in Paid Search and Paid Social channels

  • 3+ years of experience managing a team of direct reports

  • Extensive experience in driving measurable outcomes for lead generation and ecommerce businesses

  • Mastery in interpreting data and research to develop meaningful insights

  • Experienced storyteller and presenter, accomplished in developing and delivering strategic presentations with the ability to think on one's feet

  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Media, Advertising, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

  • Strong analytical skills with expert knowledge of Google Ads and Google Analytics

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to organize ideas and present back information logically and sequentially.

  • A sense of curiosity, and desire to innovate/test new approaches

Additional information

The salary range for this position is $90k-$100k. Actual salary within the salary range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills. A range of medical, dental, RRSP, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available to all permanent employees.
