Are you passionate about building your Sales career in the IT industry?


We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Account Associate for our Toronto branch to become an integral part of our Sales Team. In this role, you will be responsible for uncovering opportunities and managing accounts, focused in the Central and Southern Ontario region.

A Day in the Life:

  • Develop new leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process. 
  • Develop relationships with mid-market clients/prospects, providing exceptional customer experience and targeting revenue growth opportunities in this base, by positioning Long View as a full-service IT value-added partner
  • Communicate with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads
  • Research potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources
  • Qualify leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows
  • Work with sales team to support account penetration activities in target accounts 
  • Create and deliver qualified opportunities to support existing account managers in target account pursuits
  • Become an expert over time in the services and solutions that Long View offers, to recognize where we can address our clients’ business needs
  • Target clients, whose business needs match the services that Long View offers in the market, resulting in a right-fit, sustainable relationship that helps realize Long View’s 100-year vision
  • Lead qualification and management of the sales cycle through CRM
  • Manage and grow a sales opportunity pipeline, and track in CRM, to be 3 times your annual target
  • Develop territory and assist Account Managers with plans to cover existing and prospective enterprise and mid-market clients. Drive opportunities through sales and marketing initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with Long View pre-sales, technical, and operational colleagues to ensure excellent customer service
  • Maintain and develop a high level of knowledge of the IT industry and key business trends and drivers, including vendor training and sales certifications where needed
  • Build strong relationships with vendor partners, such as Microsoft, Cisco, and others effectively resulting in new business
  • Participate in the sales enablement program

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years’ experience working in a sales focused role (inside sales, business development) in a technology consulting environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers
  • Agility; the ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
  • Previous experience in outbound business development related sales experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM
  • Excellent problem-solving experience and decision-making abilities 
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment on your own initiative
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Experience with technology related sales would be an asset
