We are searching for the best talent for an Access & Affordability Senior Associate to be in Toronto, Canada.

Purpose:

The Access & Affordability Sr. Associate will assist in providing support for complex reimbursement issues escalated by the Reimbursement Analysts, BioAdvance Coordinators and Regional Managers. This role involves collaborating with team members to ensure effective resolution of reimbursement challenges, while gaining exposure to industry trends and evolving reimbursement landscapes. The Sr. Associate will support the development and maintenance of reimbursement support materials and tools to promote standardized and efficient processes. Additionally, the role includes assisting with oversight of the BioAdvance compassionate use and financial assistance (co-pay) programs, preforming compliance and financial reconciliation activities to meet SOX and other financial control requirements. The position requires flexibility and a solid understanding of both Public and Private payor systems in Canada. This role will work independently with minimal supervision and manage the tactical execution in the design and delivery of project and program management policies and practices. Applies project management skills, tools, and techniques to manage the project and program scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risk. Serves as primary contact for client and team queries and concern.

You will be responsible for:
  • providing support for complex reimbursement issues by reviewing cases, researching eligibility, coverage, and payer criteria.
  • collaborating with payers and the Janssen Access team to resolve reimbursement challenges efficiently. Including generating monitoring reports and providing data to approved internal & external stakeholders.
  • assisting in standardizing and developing processes across the Reimbursement Centre of Excellence and BioAdvance field team for SOPs, templates and process maps.
  • leading & preforming invoice reconciliation of high dollar & volume operational invoices (Reimbursement, Service partners) ensuring validation approvals, as per financial audit requirements
  • tracking overall reimbursement metrics to facilitate effective collaboration and signaling with Access teams, including identifying trends, discrepancies, and utilization patterns
  • supporting the BioAdvance Professional Development team to ensure regional managers and BACs are informed about new standards, SOPs, and renewal processes.
  • acting as a resource and mentor for Reimbursement Analysists and regional managers, sharing best practices for navigating the evolving reimbursement landscape.
  • the oversight, execution and monitoring of specific Access & Affordability programs for Immunology and Oncology portfolios, including invoice reconciliation and executing key financial controls.
  • participating in training sessions and educational initiatives to enhance team knowledge on evolving reimbursement landscape and payer requirements.
  • preparing and delivering clear, concise presentations and reports to leadership, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or related field.

Required:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in patient support programs, insurance navigation, reimbursement, or related healthcare/financial roles.
  • Proactive problem-solver with the ability to work independently.
  • Adaptable to changing healthcare landscapes and reimbursement policies.
  • Excellent detail-oriented organizational and project management skills with proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and process development
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to see the broader impact
  • Customer-focused with the ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex reimbursement information to diverse audiences, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred:

  • Experience in team support or coordination roles.
  • Experience with data management tools or CRM systems is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance standards, including regulations related to reimbursement, billing, and financial controls.
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
  • Some national travel (up to 5%) may be required.
  • Office-based position with computer work.
