About the team:

The Technology Planning and Cooperation Department promotes strategic innovation across all of Huawei Canada. Working with fellow experts, the focus is researching new and upcoming areas of technology as well as strategic planning to help achieve long term vision of Huawei. This department offers a unique opportunity to leverage both technical and business skills.

About the job:

  • Support the planning and execution of global academic and technology conference activities.

  • Conduct pre-conference research and preparation using AI tools and online resources.

  • Coordinate communication among internal teams, external vendors, and conference organizers.

  • Maintain conference calendars, milestone trackers, and related documentation.

  • Support post-conference reporting, material organization, and administrative follow-up.

  • Provide on-site support during conferences and events as needed.

The total target annual compensation (based on 2,080 hours per year) ranges from $48,000 to $94,000 depending on education, experience, and demonstrated expertise.

About the ideal candidate:

  • 1+ year of experience in event coordination, operations, administrative support, or related fields.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.

  • Strong interest in technology, AI, research, or academic communities.­­­

  • Prior exposure to academic conferences, workshops, or technology events is preferred.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and international environment.
