Job Description

Are you someone with excellent communication skills? Are you focused and determined in periods of high stress? As the successful incumbent you will join the RBC Capital Markets Equity Finance Desk, an integral part of  RBC’s Central Funding Group.  You will be expected to act in the best interest of RBC Capital Markets and our clients.

Equity Finance provides liquidity to RBC’s prime brokerage clients, equity desks and the retail client base and provides financing to CFG clients and internal RBC desks. We have Equity Finance desks in Toronto, NY, London and Sydney.

 
Required Skills & Characteristics:

  • Knowledge of financial markets

  • Extreme attention to detail

  • Strong oral and written skills

  • Multi-tasker that works well in a high-pressure and unstructured environment

  • Relationship builder across various groups and individuals

  • Fast learner with an ability to anticipate next steps and tasks

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Programming experience an asset (Visual Basic, Python etc.)

Primary Responsibilities:
General tasks

  • Respond to client borrow requests in a timely manner

  • Interact with Prime Brokerage clients

  • Interact with other Financial Institutions

  • Interact with Central Funding and Capital Markets Partners

  • Special projects as required

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$60,000.00 - $100,000.00
