Mr. Cooper's summer internship program offers college students the chance to discover what it's like to work at a leading financial services organization. Our interns deliver innovative solutions to real business challenges and build enduring relationships with their manager and an assigned mentor. Our summer internship program begins in June 2025 and ends in August 2025.
The Financial Analyst Intern will be part of a small team which is tasked with mission-critical strategic planning projects for Mr. Cooper, which reports to the highest level of executive management and the board of directors. The team also manages communications with market participants, including institutional investors, analysts, and hedge funds on both the equity and debt sides.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Assist in the quarter-end earnings process Review marketing analytics and report out to stakeholders
· Gather and analyze a wide range of information for inclusion in the strategic planning process.
· Work with internal colleagues to gather and analyze financial data
· Prepare professional-quality PowerPoint decks for investors and other presentations
· Track, analyze, and summarizing peer performance
· Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
· Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university or have graduated within one year of start date (June 2025)
· Majoring in finance or accounting with a focus on banking or investments
· Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
· Great Work ethic with a desire to learn
· Candidates must have authorization to work permanently in the US without the need for sponsorship (Currently, our organization is unable to support candidates that are on OPT, CPT or candidates that will need sponsorship, now or in the future)
