Software Engineering Interns will work on front-end, back-end, full-stack, security, or mobile projects. Responsibilities include scoping, designing, coding, shipping, and iterating on features while collaborating with mentors and engineering teams. Interns will gain experience with APIs, frameworks, coding agents, programming languages, and large-scale product development. The twelve-week program requires in-person collaboration at the Toronto hub at least two days per week.

Own GPTZero’s student-focused product from discovery through launch and iteration. Lead user research, define requirements and success metrics, manage experimentation, and partner with design, engineering, and ML teams. Build product processes from scratch as the first product manager while translating AI model capabilities and limitations into trustworthy user experiences.

Build and operate high-throughput backend services powering AI agent orchestration, connector integrations, and real-time data pipelines. Design core platform services, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and scalable APIs. Collaborate with ML, frontend, and product teams to ship AI-powered features, mentor junior engineers, and maintain high availability for consumer and enterprise customers.
