Leads and mentors a backend engineering team while remaining hands-on with software development. Responsibilities include prioritizing and executing projects, defining technical strategy and roadmaps, coordinating cross-functional teams, guiding technical decisions, improving user workflows, and hiring, developing, and retaining engineers.

Own large-scale backend projects from discovery through launch, improve system performance, reliability, and scalability, and expand fault-tolerant processing infrastructure. Lead engineering excellence through mentorship and knowledge sharing, enhance testing, monitoring, and continuous deployment, and protect sensitive data. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to solve customer challenges.

Advise international customers on Employer of Record services, employment compliance, terminations, benefits, and labor standards across the Americas. Serve as the escalation authority for complex HR and compliance matters, partner with Legal, Product, Operations, and Customer Success, identify expansion opportunities, support retention and growth, and translate complex regulations into actionable guidance.

Build and own core components of an LLM-powered agent platform: orchestration, tool integrations, APIs, knowledge/memory infrastructure, trust & safety, and evaluation tooling. Partner with Operations to translate workflows into agent capabilities, mentor teammates, and ship production-ready, scalable AI-native systems.

The Senior Developer Experience Engineer will own CI/CD infrastructure and internal tools, improve developer productivity, and foster team collaboration through effective tooling and automation.
