Supports global trade compliance for imports and exports by classifying products under tariff and export control regulations, determining licensing requirements, preparing export license and CCATS applications, monitoring regulatory changes, assessing compliance risks, maintaining trade data, advising stakeholders, managing external partners, conducting training, and leading trade-related projects.

Leads global category management, strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, and commercial negotiations for capital equipment and CapEx investments. Develops sourcing strategies, optimizes total cost of ownership, manages supplier performance and risk, supports capital planning, and partners with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, and Legal. Oversees equipment lifecycle optimization, analytics, savings initiatives, preferred supplier strategies, and procurement governance across global operations.

Serves as the Services PLM liaison to Supply Chain, translating supply-chain costs, operating models, capabilities, and constraints into business cases, portfolio recommendations, pricing inputs, and investment decisions. Develops cost models and P&Ls, coordinates cross-functional change requests, tracks implementation plans and risks, monitors operating performance, and supports staging, integration, repair, spares, logistics, and circular-economy services.

Leads the global Services innovation portfolio, including strategy, intake, prioritization, experimentation, governance, funding recommendations, business cases, and commercialization. Directs innovation product managers and cross-functional teams, evaluates market opportunities and financial returns, oversees pilots and customer validation, and transitions successful concepts into established portfolios. Develops executive reporting, manages special projects, builds team capability, and drives evidence-based investment and portfolio decisions.

Owns the global Implementation Services portfolio strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, financial performance, and commercial models. Builds opportunity and portfolio P&Ls, guides pricing and investment decisions, leads new service introductions, develops scalable deployment patterns, and resolves complex cross-functional delivery and margin issues. Partners with Sales, Delivery, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Legal, Supply Chain, and regional leaders while advising executives and mentoring product line managers.

Develops and executes global strategic sourcing and category strategies for indirect spend, including supplier identification, market and spend analysis, RFPs, negotiations, supplier performance, contract compliance, cost savings, and procurement process improvements. Partners with stakeholders, manages supplier relationships, and reports category performance and savings to leadership.

Responds to critical customer cases and restores service-impacting network conditions using Ciena optical, routing, and switching products. Troubleshoots complex outages, documents resolutions, prepares root cause analyses, provides technical guidance, and supports lessons-learned initiatives. The role requires independent outage recovery, customer communication, technical writing, and rotational weekend on-call coverage.
