Build, launch, and maintain reliable backend systems using Python or Kotlin. Break projects into deliverable phases, collaborate with product, design, and analytics teams, monitor service health, support on-call operations, debug code, conduct code reviews, and contribute to team development. The role requires designing distributed systems, working across large codebases, writing tested and extensible code, and communicating effectively with global engineering stakeholders.

Own marketplace monetization and economics by analyzing supply, demand, pricing, profitability, and user experience. Build dashboards, conduct experiments, evaluate affiliate and merchant incentive performance, and optimize marketplace inventory and offers. Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Client Success, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to improve merchant value, engagement, conversion, and sustainable growth. Manage analytical workflows and data pipelines using SQL, Python, dbt, Sigma, and ETL tools.

Build and operate Affirm’s insider threat program, including investigative standards, detection use cases, controls, metrics, and reporting. Support insider risk investigations through telemetry and evidence analysis, threat modeling, and written recommendations. Partner with Legal, HR, Privacy, and Compliance on case handling and regulatory obligations. Improve DLP, endpoint monitoring, access governance, and SaaS security controls. Automate evidence collection, case routing, triage, and investigation workflows using Python, automation platforms, and agentic AI.
