PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $125,700.00-$153,600.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $97,400.00 - $181,800.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

As a Product Manager – Payments, you’ll be at the heart of shaping the future of BECU’s products and systems. Your vision and strategic thinking will guide the roadmap that powers innovation and delivers exceptional experiences for our members. You’ll turn ideas into impactful solutions, ensuring every step—from research to delivery—drives meaningful results for the organization and those we serve.

To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, SC, NC, CA or VA. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.  For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Define the Vision: Craft and champion the roadmap for products, systems, and applications that align with BECU’s business goals and member needs.
  • Drive Strategic Recommendations: Provide insights and recommendations that influence product direction and ensure alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Lead End-to-End Development: Oversee the flow of research, concept development, UX design, and delivery to create products that elevate member experiences.
  • Measure Success: Monitor product performance metrics and translate data into actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Champion Member Voice: Bring member feedback into every decision to ensure products resonate and deliver value.
  • Manage Budgets: Oversee product financials, budgets, and approved expenses with precision and accountability.
  • Foster Team Alignment: Share information effectively and maintain clear documentation for all owned products.
  • Own Release Priorities: Set and manage release goals across capabilities, ensuring timely and impactful delivery.

  • Communicate with Impact: Present ideas and data-driven recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Adapt and Evolve: Track lessons learned and adjust roadmaps to stay ahead of changing needs and opportunities.
  • Manage Lifecycle Ownership: Take full responsibility for your products and systems from inception through retirement.
  • Collaborate with Vendors: Support vendor relationships and partnerships to maximize product success.
  • Go Beyond the Expected: Take on additional responsibilities that contribute to team and organizational success.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a technology, business, or related discipline.
  • Typically requires 5 years of product management, product development or product operations, or equivalent experience with platform technology.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Experience in an agile environment is preferred.
  • Experience working with elements of the product development lifecycle preferred.
  • Self-directed and able to identify business and customer needs and opportunities, overcome barriers, influence, and formulate solutions with minimal supervision preferred.
  • Experience managing highly effective cross-functional teams preferred.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation skills preferred.
