The incumbent will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis. Acting as the primary financial liaison for the Sales and Marketing divisions, will work closely with Accounting and other Support teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration. Leveraging influential skills, will establish strong partnerships across functional areas, driving cross-departmental alignment and facilitating data-driven decision-making. The role will conduct detailed analysis to generate actionable business insights, enabling Samsung to identify opportunities, evaluate risks, and achieve its strategic objectives effectively.

Role and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the overall business objectives of the Sales and Marketing divisions, while demonstrating financial, process, and system expertise.

  • Review trade spend requests for Sales Deductions (SD) against budget and ensure that corporate guidelines are followed.

  • Participate in the annual budget and monthly forecast processes.

  • Manage month-end SD trade spend accrual management and monthly closure to ensure financial accuracy.

  • Assess financial and ICFR compliance risks and work with stakeholders on remediation efforts.

  • Actively participate in strategic planning discussions, providing financial insights and recommendations to drive informed decision-making.

  • Facilitate the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

  • Coordinate with accounts for quarterly SD reconciliations.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function, promoting innovation and efficiency in all aspects of operations.

  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders across the organization to effectively communicate financial results and provide guidance on key initiatives.

Requirements

Education:

  • University degree (Business Administration, Commerce or Accounting) preferred

  • CA/CMA/CGA or Enrollment in a designated accounting program is desirable

Knowledge:

  • Experience with an ERP systems (preferably SAP)  an asses

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of IFRS and ICFR principles

Experience:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive finance planning and/or accounting experience preferred

  • Experienced professional with full understanding on specialized areas; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways

Skills and Qualifications

  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analyzing data requires evaluating identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

  • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments

  • Typically requires minimum 5 years' of related experience and a Bachelor's degree, or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience
