Burson is looking for an intern to work across our Consumer & Brand team.     

The successful candidate would join us in working with some of Canada's most recognizable brands . Our internships are designed for students enrolled in or recently graduated from related programs to give you hands-on experience working in a fast-paced agency setting. You’ll have the chance to work on client files across a variety of our services and practices, access senior talent, and participate in internal education and training programs.   

Our team is integrated, so our interns maybe be asked to  work closely with our account and specialist teams on Consumer & Brand, Corporate Communications and/or Health Comms, supporting various projects, including media relations, social/digital media, writing, monitoring and research.  

What you'll do:
  • Be involved in developing client-facing deliverables 
  • Media, & stakeholder outreach 
  • Participate in brainstorms and internal strategic meetings 
  • Track and share news and trends with the team and clients
  • Create materials including media lists, media pitches, client reports, stakeholder maps, meeting agendas and summaries, , insight notes, measurement reports and more.   
  • Monitor for media coverage,  social media conversation
Experience that contributes to success:
  • Enrolled in or recently graduated from marketing, communication, public relations or related programs
  • Strong time management skills, with experience in multi-tasking, prioritizing competing demands, and meeting deadlines 
  • High attention to detail 
  • Eagerness to learn and drive to take initiative 
  • Active consumer of media and social media, with a passion for networking and staying on top of trends
