Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:


As the Director, Strategy & Enterprise PMO you will lead & coordinate the delivery of large cross-functional strategic initiatives at an enterprise level within Arc’teryx. In this unique opportunity, you will define the Enterprise PMO operating model to support the strategic priorities & initiatives of the business. You will be responsible for the strategic agenda of the enterprise & driving key initiatives forward; including defining the timelines, developing, and managing project plans, delivering key areas of work, and working with the team to see progress and unblock challenges along the way. This position will partner with senior leadership across the organization to achieve Arc’teryx’s strategic priorities through active management of the portfolio of initiatives.

This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work.

 

Meet Your Future Team:


The Strategy & Enterprise PMO team partners with the executive leadership team in the development, prioritization, and oversight of our company strategies, working cross-functionally across the business to ensure attainment of our long-term strategic objectives and goals. The team provides strategic insights and frameworks to enable strategy development, cross-functional alignment and executive decision making. We are experts at translating complex, unstructured problems into clear executive level narrative and recommendations. Our team leads the company’s long-range strategic planning process & quarterly business reviews to connect our strategy to our annual operating budget and annual strategic plan.

If you were the Director, Enterprise PMO, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Managing the strategic agenda of initiatives that enable our long-term and annual strategic priorities.
  • Overseeing the selection, initiation & prioritization of enterprise projects on the strategic agenda.
  • Developing governance philosophy, including structure & cadence, workplan approach & program tracking.
  • Driving & developing standardized project management reporting across the strategic agenda initiatives.
  • Developing comprehensive stakeholder engagement plans & interaction models and ensuring the right people are in the right conversations. 
  • Developing content and prepping for key project meetings; status meetings, weekly working sessions, SteerCo’s, etc. 
  • Working cross-functionally to identify risks, create proactive solutions and report to senior leaders.
  • Collaborating across functions & partnering with Finance to drive the annual planning process ensuring appropriate assessment of projects & resources.
  • Leading the development and ongoing management of tools, processes & governance to execute against strategic and business plans, establishing scorecard metrics to monitor and communicate performance to the plan.
  • Developing high impact presentations and communication tools to communicate the strategic agenda across the organization. 

Are you our next Director of Enterprise PMO?

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in business, strategy, or related field.
  • You have 8+ years of professional work experience in project management, strategic planning, &/or management consulting.
  • You have 6+ years of project management experience and have experience using project management software.
  • You have change management and organizational development experience.
  • You have a demonstrated track record as an outstanding problem solver and strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights.
  • You have a strong understanding of retail and consumer-facing businesses.
  • You have previous experience as a people manager.
  • You have a proven track record of successfully directing cross-functional projects.
  • You have high emotional intelligence, influencing skills, and communication skills to collaborate with senior executive stakeholders.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to build strategic narratives and impactful executive-level presentations.
  • You have strong leadership, facilitation, and analytical skills.
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit, are a self-starter, and results driven.
  • You demonstrate flexibility and resilience to change and ambiguity.
  • You have a commitment to ethical decision-making and doing what is right.
