What you’ll be doing

The position of Consultant, Risk Platforms works with the Risk Platforms team to provide specialized knowledge, business/systems analysis and expertise in the completion of approved projects and initiatives in which Risk Analytics and Credit Decisioning (RACD) is a key stakeholder. The Consultant represents the interests of RACD by helping to ensure that the lending systems used to manage and mitigate risk continue to function as expected.

How you’ll succeed

  • Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, ask the right questions and listen to ensure requirement completeness.

  • Solution Design - Participate in building client-focused solutions that meet business requirements using either waterfall or Agile methodology. Ensure accuracy of solution design documents including around areas such as scope clarification and quality assurance.

  • Risk Management & Analytics – Collaborate with partners to manage the overall risk profile of the portfolio by analyzing data used in the development and maintenance of risk platforms. Use data-driven processes to effectively manage system implementations and changes.

  • Communication - Demonstrate well developed verbal, written and presentation skills sufficient to articulate analytic results, options, recommendations and benefits to all levels of management. 

Who You Are

  • You have a degree/diploma in Business, Computer Science, or related field and/or equivalent years of experience;

  • You have knowledge of card products, retail lending credit or credit risk management, and understand various lines of businesses, products, services, delivery channels and new technologies to understand and identify respective risks.

  • You can demonstrate experience in Excel at an intermediate level. It’s an asset if you have knowledge of systems used for cards, mortgages and personal lending (CASA, Compass, Decision Manager, Provenir, Triad).

  • You embrace and champion change. You'll continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work in order to deliver your best.

  • You have well-developed analytical skills. Able to conceptualize, research, compile and translate analytical findings into meaningful strategies or recommendations
