Middle Office Manager (AVP)
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee middle office operations supporting trading desks across equity, fixed income and derivatives products.
- Partner with both internal and external stakeholders for Periodic NAV and P&L Review
- Ensure trade capture accuracy, lifecycle event monitoring, and timely settlement of trades.
- Implement and enhance control frameworks to mitigate operational risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Partner with front office, risk, and back office teams to resolve trade discrepancies and optimize workflow efficiency.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to reduce operational risk and improve scalability.
- Monitor and report on key risk indicators, trade exceptions, and operational performance metrics to senior management.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices and internal policies for trade support and collateral management.
- Act as a subject matter expert for middle office processes during audits, regulatory reviews, and system upgrades.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or CFA preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in middle office / operations or trade support within a financial institution,
- Strong understanding of equity, fixed income and derivative products, trade lifecycle, and risk management principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
